-morning traffic jam.

  1. Perfect verse for slowly Edward. I've been in many in my working life.
Retirement is nice! I move slowly by my own pace now.
    Thank you for bringing memories.

  2. I feel the anxiety, waiting in this traffic Edward. I go to great lengths to avoid peak-traffic!

  3. It is hard to keep an appointment when caught in heavy traffic.
I always like to try and leave early ...just in case of the unseen.
Now that I rely on others to get me to my doctor appointments...I remind them to come a bit early.
    I hate to be late.

  4. 'Tis always the way. Traffic only seems clear when you're in no hurry.

  5. The "will we ever get there" feeling is always followed immediately by "no, I won't." Beautifully understated, Edward.

  6. I hate traffic jams, and it always seem worst when you got an IRS audit, and don't want to be late.

  7. When you're late, it is difficult to appreciate what is going on around you. You did a great job. I could see the trolley moving and all of the traffic at a stop, tail pipes steaming.

  9. Can't we all relate to this, one way or another. I want my wait to be like Jim's...I want to be caught in the crux of...what will I watch poke its little head out of the earth today--crocus or dandelion. You know, that kind of traffic jam of consciousness.

Thanks for this nice haiku, Edward.

  15. It's the 'hurry up and wait' syndrome for sure. Great haiku!

  16. I feel for the despair of those stuck in a slow motion they can do nothing to speed up.
