"Jam at intersection" is trouble and possible hardship for many. Surprised with your third line at first reading, but I agree, those GPS machines do have one-track minds.
In our Houston area well over one hundred died in traffic jams trying to evacuate ahead of Hurricane Rita. Almost half died on the freeway six miles from our home.
That's the way it so often goes. So much time can be lost trying to go around what must be endured.
