One Single Impression: Thinking
Excellent as usual, though I like the middle one best.
ReplyDeleteFor some strange reason, I thought of "Alice in Wonderland" and the griffin on the rock! The dodo seemed to be floating around too! And did I see the White Rabbit rush by?
ReplyDeleteClever mix of seriousness and wry humour!
Thinking is work, but the return on our efforts doesn't always come.
ReplyDeleteThese were all wonderful! I especially liked the senator one...clever. :~)
ReplyDeleteAh! wonderful! Enjoyed the different scenarios.. The last was quite striking! :)
ReplyDeleteThinking too hard might scare the thought away, you know?

ReplyDeleteGreat reading.
Like the thoughts in here!
ReplyDeletethat thin line
You've spoken many truths here Edward. Great takes on the prompt.
ReplyDeleteYou made me think hard on this one. The last one spoke loudest to me.
ReplyDeletevivid series of thought!
ReplyDeleteEdward, I would title your collection Headline News and the Rest.
ReplyDeleteDid you ever go to sleep at your computer? Mrs. Jim and I both have. Little Known Poet Sleeps at the Keyboard.
I liked your approach here, definitely a lot of thinking done.
..
You never cease to amaze me with your raw and enlightened poetry. The last one had me rolling on the floor laughing --- thank you.
ReplyDelete"Totally futile"? I protest it ain't so.
ReplyDeleteLoved the last two. Most revelations come in a relaxed between the worlds state...or so I've heard. Unfortunately, I'm plodding with the herd in the last verse.
