Reflecting On Reflections

For One Single Impression Prompt: Reflections

He sat in his cell
Reflecting for decades
-Truth and Salvation.

Before the gallows
He knew how much she had meant
-a last reflection.

He looked at the way
Ripples travelled up mountains
-his view from the lake.

The story and the suggested story in this are evocative, Edward. This is powerful. Thanks.

How sad the first two are, a life of regrets.

Love the third one - what a cool idea - ripples traveling up the mountain.

Three wonderful haiku. The first makes me think of the desert fathers sitting alone in meditation, waiting for the Holy One's Word.

more than facing the challenge of looking back is the humility needed to fully reflect on reflections.
