Our Best Friends

For One Single Impression: Pets

Apple Billy was funny
Always cutting up in class
-still getting an A

When my cat got hit,
I buried her in the yard
-I kept her collar, though.

Visiting their world,
My host showed me all his pets
-lord, they were humans!

    I like the way you integrated the idea of best friends with humans and cats! A nice surprise. The middle one haunts me. Losing a pet can seem unendurable.

    Your second reminds me of how differently people respond to grief. When I buried my sweet Ching after he lost his battle with CHF, I put his favorite things in with him.
