If I had the time,
I'd throw work out the window,
-spend it all with you.
Since you are here now,
And maybe no tomorrow
-we'll go for that walk.
If I could stop time,
I would keep this moment
-pressed in my journal.
For many years now,
I've worked twentyfour/seven
-all alone in room.
Arrived in heaven,
Peter led me to my cloud
-a vast library.

One single Impression: If I Had The Time
Wonderful twist to close the poem! The wry humour there is utterly brilliant and so annoyingly logical but unexpected! Great paradoxical tensions!
ReplyDeleteGreat! Particularly liked the last one.
ReplyDeleteI love the image of a moment pressed in a journal.
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of moments pressed in a journal. I find myself trying to journal as many of my special moments as I can. I don't always do them justice, but I press on.
