Married twenty years,
Each day a silent goodbye
-lovers, now strangers.
He stood by her grave,
Not believing she was gone
-her moist eyes and smile.
Lukas stood on deck,
Saw Statue Of Liberty
-goodbye poverty

You write such evocative verse. Very nice work.
Indeed, you convey a world of meaning in so few words. Well done, Edward. Thanks.
Such emotion in so few words...I really enjoyed reading these.
Your consistency is remarkable, Edward...
I loved all of them, but the first one spoke to me the most, having lived through similar goodbyes, that took 20 years...oy vey. Glad for each moment, though.
Thanks again--
Brief but so deep.

Yes, you always cover such a range of the human experience. Nice grouping!
even though the word was farewell, i wanted to think 'goodbye' too. each haiku very poignant.
Very nice! Heartfelt and accessible...
I like the contrast you added with the third haiku. As usual all of them were well thought out.
Nice take..all three on this weeks prompt-
a range of life's journey & the last...quite unexpected & so hopeful
In so many words, you create a world of life and sorry, Well done my friend.
