Ascending The Stairway

Destitute for years,
The angels came late one night
-showed her the Stairway.

When she saw him there,
It brought back her grandfather
-she helped him up stairs.

The Coach had us run
Up and down the school's stairwells!
-this before practice.

All that he could say-
"This is a one way stairway"
over and over again.

On The Goose Rocks: A Wedding Poem For Jeremy And Nicole.

In Kennebunkport,
The tides come as if metered
--upon the Goose Rocks.

Gulls on Goose Rocks
Look on wisely from perches
-some pace the wet sand.

Families come, watch,
As their children play and grow
-later to marry.

In time these couples
Return with their families
-like the ocean's tides.

Two Special People,
Jeremy and Nichol join
-everlastingly.

-honeymoon's return.
