I built sandcastles
Then had fun watching tides come
-and take them away.
Jack worked thirty years
But the boss offshored his job
-and no pocket watch!
He travelled deserts
To find an old sign that read
-"global warming: hoax"
(apologies to Percy Shelley)

Well Edward, I like all three. The last 2 made me laugh! All 3 contain truth in a tiny package! We've all been victims of the waves of time and the ocean!
Ouch, that third one packs a punch. I read a brief newspaper article recently saying that even if global warming does not turn out to be the great problem it is being said to be, any changes we might make to prevent it will only be for the better anyway. And how would we then prove it wasn't a problem, as the changes we may have made may have mitigated any global warming. :-D So, why not go ahead and proceed to prevent global warming, whether it's a certain fate or not? That's got my vote!
Three distinct moods, all well done. I kind of liked the sand castle myself.
excellent, all of them. sadly the 2nd is exactly what happened to my dad 6 weeks before he was due to retire.
Those things we cherish or depend upon are so swiftly swept away. We are left to love ourselves. Thanks for these contributions. God bless.

Shelly would have been proud of you...
I love the Sandcastles, which are included in so many of my childhood memories.
As usual, Edward, I enjoyed your quirky sense of humor that comes through so strongly in your poems. I really enjoyed the last.
