For One Single Impression Prompt: Warmth
Little mosquito,
Gouge as much blood as you can
-go, then it's my turn!
When I was sobbing,
What I would not have given
-for just one warm smile

I loved that mosquito one so much! And the second one..well..sometime I wish for that even now!
These are both so different! I wonder what you mean by 'then it's your turn'.
I pity the mosquito!
I too have longed for the warmth you describe in the second poem.
Thanks for these.

Edward, so heartfelt and deeply felt! I love both haiku! :D
talk about height & depth of emotion!...the first left me laughing & the second, with tears. very powerful
Well done! I especially like the second, but the first one made me laugh.
Great mosquito haiku. Lots of humor.
I feel that second one very deeply.
(As an aside, when I landed on your page through Mr. Linky, it was at "Lasting Impression." My reaction was: that's not warm, that's cold!)
That mosquito one is a classic!! Your turn being a slap on its head?:)
